As we have moved into a second lockdown, we are reminded that we are all living with feelings of uncertainty. It’s at such times that having someone to talk to, and feeling heard, is more important than ever.

Over the last few months, Tandem has begun the process of matching up more volunteer befrienders with someone who is living with mental health problems and suffering from isolation. One of the positives of this pandemic is that people have been much more open and honest about their mental health. Let’s hope that the terms “isolated” and “lonely” have lost the taboo status that they once held.

At Tandem, we are always welcoming new volunteers so, if you would like to make a real difference to someone’s life, then please take that first step and get in touch!
