Enjoying open spaces together

Since restrictions on lockdown eased, the Tandem Social Group has been meeting regularly. It has been good to be able to come together once again and share activities. Groups of six have been meeting in open spaces around Oxford, enjoying walks along the river, a visit to the Botanic Garden and a stroll around University Parks.

The Social Group is an important part of Tandem’s work. Social connection improves physical health and mental and emotional well-being. In fact, studies have shown that it can lead to lower levels of anxiety and depression, and may even lengthen our lives.

We hope to continue enjoying natural spaces over the coming months as we head into autumn and winter.
